Trusts and Wills Workshop

Our Trusts and Wills Workshop is a hands-on learning experience for families and professionals who want to move beyond theory and actually see how these tools work. Instead of just hearing definitions, you walk through real-world examples and guided exercises that make the concepts practical.

We start by unpacking the purpose of a will and the role of a trust, explaining how each affects probate, privacy, timelines, and family decision-making. From there, we review what information you need to gather before creating documents - such as key assets, important contacts, guardians for children, and potential trustees or executors.

Throughout the workshop, we invite you to think through your own situation: who depends on you, what properties or accounts need direction, and where confusion might show up if something happened today. You will see how a trust can hold major assets, how a pour-over will can direct remaining items into that trust, and how powers of attorney and health directives support you during life, not just after death.

We also introduce the idea of digital organization, showing how a secure vault can store your will, trust, and supporting records so your family is not left searching for documents in different places. Participants receive checklists and planning prompts they can continue using at home.

This workshop is especially valuable for homeowners, blended families, business owners, and anyone who has started documents in the past but never fully organized them.
